System and Appliance Repair Contractors FAQs

Does HBRWC need my services in this area?
HBRWC is always looking for new, qualified Service Providers with the various markets through out the country.

How does HBRWC define a "service area"?
A typical service area is generally defined within a 30 mile radius, however, the actual service area, also known as a market, may vary from this general definition.  Contact the Area Service Manager of your region (866) 760-4399 for more specific details.

How many service requests can I expect to receive from your company?
There is no way of predicting the amount of claims that might be placed in a particular market.  We continue to grow at a very aggressive rate and the work for our partners continues to grow as well.  Your local region’s Area Service Manager can give you a better idea of specific counts.

If I enroll, how soon can I begin to see work come through?
Once the enrollment paperwork has been received, it takes up to 72 hours to activate the new Service Provider account.  Once activated, work will begin to be dispatched immediately.

What type of insurance requirements is needed for me to provide my services for HBRWC?
At the time of initial enrollment, we require that the Service Provider be licensed and the company be insured.  HBRWC will accept the Service Company’s current insurance coverage policy, if the coverage is applicable for the trade and service region.  Upon renewal of the Service Agreement, we ask that the Service Company obtain $2M per incident, $2M aggregate and that HBRWC is included as an additional insured.

How am I notified of a job requiring my services, by your company?
HBRWC may fax, email, or call the dispatch requests to your company, fax or email being the preferred method of contact.

How is a claim authorized?
HBRWC currently has multiple ways in which a Service Provider may have a claim authorized.  A Service Provider may call in to the authorization department and speak with a live representative, (800) 482-4776.  The other method is through HBRWC’s "Contractor Online" program.  This program will have the capability of an online authorization process.

What is “Contractor Online”?
HBRWC has a web-based program that allows Service Providers access to HBRWC’s claim reporting tools.  This program allows enrolled Service Providers to update, manage and complete claims that have been placed in their charge, along with personal Service Provider Account Management tools.  Click here to go there now.
